How Does the Admissions Process Work at Wellness Hills?

When you contact Wellness Hills, you only need a basic overview of your symptoms, any past treatment, and your insurance card. If you are calling for a family member, we can guide you through what details matter and what does not. You do not have to have everything figured out before reaching out.

Most people can schedule an intake within a few days. If someone is in a crisis or their symptoms are getting worse, we try to bring them in even sooner or guide them towards emergency crisis services. Because our team lives and works here in Morris County, we understand how urgent it can feel when someone is suffering.

Many intake evaluations are completed within 24 to 72 hours, depending on clinical urgency and availability.

Yes. We work with most major insurance plans in New Jersey and nationwide. When you call, we verify your benefits and explain what your behavioral health benefits typically cover for conditions like anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD, or bipolar disorder. We review everything with you so there are no surprises about cost.

Your first visit includes a clinical assessment where you talk with one of our licensed therapists or psychiatric providers. You go over symptoms, daily stressors, medications, and any safety concerns. This helps us match you with the right level of care, whether that is our partial hospitalization program (PHP), intensive outpatient program (IOP), or medication management.

Yes. All calls and appointments are private. Many people worry about work, school, or community privacy in New Jersey. We follow strict confidentiality HIPAA laws, and your employer, family, or school is not notified when you start treatment unless you sign a release of information or request documentation for leave or accommodations.
