Dr. Carl Williams is a seasoned behavioral health leader, educator, and addiction counseling professional with more than 30 years of experience across public and private treatment settings. His work includes research and training on evidence-based addiction care, including the impact of anger and cultural factors on recovery.
He holds a Master’s in Human Services from Lincoln University and a Ph.D. with a clinical psychology focus from Union Institute & University. Dr. Williams is licensed in addiction counseling in New Jersey and Connecticut, with a psychologist licensure application pending in New Jersey.
Throughout his career, he has taught addiction-focused courses, led professional trainings and conference presentations, and mentored hundreds of emerging counselors and clinicians entering the field.
