Taylor Herring, LCSW, LCADC

Taylor Herring is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor with extensive experience providing evidence-based psychotherapy to individuals, families, and high-risk populations. Taylor specializes in the treatment of substance use disorders, trauma, and co-occurring mental health conditions, and has a strong clinical foundation in family systems, child welfare, and relapse prevention. Her work is grounded in culturally responsive, client-centered care, with an emphasis on collaboration and long-term recovery.

Taylor earned her Master of Social Work from Rutgers University–Newark, along with an Addictions Counselor Training Certificate, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Drew University. She brings over a decade of experience working in outpatient treatment programs, community-based behavioral health organizations, and child and family services. Her clinical background includes supporting individuals and families facing complex emotional, relational, and behavioral challenges, with a strong focus on safety, stability, and long-term growth.

Taylor’s therapeutic approach is collaborative, nonjudgmental, and tailored to each client’s unique needs. She integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed care. She believes therapy works best when clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their treatment, and she strives to create a supportive space where meaningful change can occur.

In addition to direct clinical practice, Taylor has served as a Lead Clinician, overseeing treatment services, mentoring staff, and ensuring adherence to clinical and regulatory standards. She brings a strong commitment to ethical practice, clinical excellence, and advocacy for vulnerable populations. She is dedicated to helping clients build insight, resilience, and practical skills to move toward healthier, more fulfilling lives.
